Nine slips to fourth place on Monday

Nine slipped to fourth place last night just days before its Olympics broadcast begins.

Seven won the night with 31.9% followed by TEN 23.3%, ABC 21.3%, Nine 19.5% and SBS 4.0%. Nine’s primary channel also couldn’t manage a bronze medal, landing in fourth place behind ABC1.

The Revenge finale topped the night with 1.55m viewers for Seven. Other Seven shows were Seven News (1.29m), Today Tonight (1.24m), The Amazing Race Australia (1.01m), Home and Away (1.00m), Up All Night (888,000), Deal or No Deal (618,000) and Body of Proof (436,000).

MasterChef won its slot with 1.55m viewers for TEN and The Shire lifted to 1.06m in preliminary figures -but is expected to be adjusted to 754,000. TEN News was 754,000, NCIS was 591,000, The Project 6pm was 486,000 and NCIS: LA was 397,000.

ABC News (1.00m) topped ABC1 then Australian Story (938,000), Four Corners (910,000), Media Watch (837,000), 7:30 (741,000) and Q & A (708,000).

Nine began the night well with Nine News (1.28m) but ACA was 898,000. Aside from Hot Seat (701,000) it struggled again with The Voice US at its lowest on 484,000. Movie: Killers was 347,000.

Best for SBS ONE were Mythbusters (203,000), Man vs Wild (192,000), and World News Australia (157,000).

Neighbours was highest on multichannels with 311,000.

Breakfast: 28,000
